Bar/Bat Mitzvah
Please note the following when considering The Academy for a Bar/Bat Mitzvah:
- Chaperones are mandatory. 1 per 30 children. The number of chaperones will be determined based on your final number of confirmed children. The fee per chaperone is $200.00.
- We do not allow chewing gum to be given to the kids (as prizes or in candy dishes), feather boas, and confetti, pixy sticks (tubes filled with sugar powder) or cotton candy.
- You are welcome to do decorations for both the kids and adults dining tables but we do not allow candles on the kid’s dining tables (adults of course are okay).
- We allow 2 hours access prior to your event start time for your dj's set up, deliveries, etc. Unless otherwise agreed upon.
- For the adult drinks this will be based on consumption. For the kids, if you would like, we can do unlimited pop for $3.00 plus applicable taxes and gratuities. Alternatively the pop would be based on consumption. All juice, mocktails and bottled water is billed on consumption the night of the event.
- If you will have any guests between the ages of 19-25 we do strongly recommend that you advise them to bring their I.D. If they do not look of age and do not have I.D. they will unfortunately not be served alcoholic beverages.
- Should you bring in your own dj or band or outside entertainment there is a $100 service fee.
- Coat check is mandatory at certain times of the year – the fee is $120.00 per 140 guests plus GST.
- Please note that if your event is happening during November, December or January the Academy does put up seasonal decorations. Please speak with your coordinator to find out more.
