Bar/Bat Mitzvah

Please note the following when considering The Academy for a Bar/Bat Mitzvah:

  1. Chaperones are mandatory. 1 per 30 children. The number of chaperones will be determined based on your final number of confirmed children. The fee per chaperone is $200.00.
  2. We do not allow chewing gum to be given to the kids (as prizes or in candy dishes), feather boas, and confetti, pixy sticks (tubes filled with sugar powder) or cotton candy.
  3. You are welcome to do decorations for both the kids and adults dining tables but we do not allow candles on the kid’s dining tables (adults of course are okay).
  4. We allow 2 hours access prior to your event start time for your dj's set up, deliveries, etc. Unless otherwise agreed upon.
  5. For the adult drinks this will be based on consumption. For the kids, if you would like, we can do unlimited pop for $3.00 plus applicable taxes and gratuities. Alternatively the pop would be based on consumption.  All juice, mocktails and bottled water is billed on consumption the night of the event.
  6. If you will have any guests between the ages of 19-25 we do strongly recommend that you advise them to bring their I.D. If they do not look of age and do not have I.D. they will unfortunately not be served alcoholic beverages.
  7. Should you bring in your own dj or band or outside entertainment there is a $100 service fee.
  8. Coat check is mandatory at certain times of the year – the fee is $120.00 per 140 guests plus GST.
  9. Please note that if your event is happening during November, December or January the Academy does put up seasonal decorations. Please speak with your coordinator to find out more.
